- Campaign data: Your fundraising story, photos, videos, and targets.
- Verification data: Scans of Ghana Card/Passport, registered MoMo number, and WhatsApp contact details.
- Donation data: Amount, donor name, and transaction reference numbers.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device info, and cookies.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your information to:
- Verify the authenticity of fundraising campaigns.
- Process and track donations securely.
- Notify creators of incoming support.
- Improve our platform and AI support (Mo assistant).
- Comply with Ghanaian legal and regulatory obligations.
5. Mobile Money Data
MoMo numbers are used solely for processing donations and disbursements. **We never store or ask for your MoMo PIN.** All sensitive payment actions happen within the encrypted environment of our payment providers.
6. Data Retention
We store data based on these schedules:
- Account data: Retained while your account is active.
- Campaign data: Archived for 5 years after completion.
- Verification documents: Retained for 7 years for compliance.
- Donation records: Stored for 7 years for financial reporting.
7. Data Security

We use Firebase security rules, HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, and role-based access controls to ensure your data is accessible only to authorised personnel.

- Request deletion of your data (subject to retention laws).

- Groq AI (Powers our Mo Assistant)

11. Children's Privacy
MOMONEYO is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided data to us, please contact us immediately for deletion.

We may update this policy periodically. Significant changes will be notified via email or a prominent notification on our platform.
